Listen to Defender now

First off, I want to take this moment to thank everyone who has taken the time to listen to Defender. Defender means sooo much to me because in a time when I was struggling with anxiety and my mental health, the lyrics of this song really held me together. It anchored me when my thoughts wanted to take me to a dark place. Especially the lyrics in the bridge of song that read, “When I thought I lost me, you knew where I left me. You reintroduced me to your love. You picked up all my pieces and put me back together, You are the defender of my heart.” Man, These words gave me so much hope in my darkest moments. They gave me the faith I needed to believe that even if I didn’t feel it or see it in that moment, that if I just held on tight and didn’t give up, I would see the light and start feeling like my self again. It also served me as a reminder that God was helping me fight all the negative thoughts and depression that wanted to overcome me. I was not alone and He was always with me! I pray my rendition of Defender will help to uplift you, too! Sincerely, Jacqie Rivera _______
